I look at the picture and I ask, is she really lonely? Or is she just somewhere else in her thoughts?
Jose, you've captured something that is uniquely human -- our ability to contemplate our being. You wrote: "For me Loneliness is the most obvious evidence of our need to be filled by God." Jesus said, "Happy are those who are conscious of their spiritual needs." Therefore lonliness can be conquered even if you are alone, because you never really are.
